Terms of Service
Plain terms for a small tool. Using Framelock means agreeing to these.
Who you are agreeing with. Jeffrey Wilkinson, Switzerland. Reach him at legal@framelock.cc.
What the service does
Framelock reframes a clip you upload into the aspect ratios different platforms want, can burn in captions and composite parts of the frame back in, and posts the result to accounts you have connected. It is a tool that acts on your instruction. It does not decide what to post.
Your content stays yours
You keep every right in the clips you upload and everything Framelock makes from them. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service: to store your clip, to process and re-encode it, and to transmit the result to the destinations you choose. That permission ends when you delete the content.
What you are responsible for
- Having the right to post it. Game footage, music, someone else's voice or face โ that is your call to make, and yours to answer for.
- The destination platform's rules. Posting through Framelock does not exempt you from Instagram's, TikTok's, YouTube's or anyone else's terms. If they suspend your account, that is between you and them.
- Your account. Keep the password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has it โ and change it, which ends every existing session.
What you may not do
- Upload content you do not have the right to distribute.
- Use it for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone.
- Automate abuse of the connected platforms โ bulk spam, engagement farming, or evading a suspension.
- Attack the service: break into other people's accounts, scrape it, or try to exhaust it.
Connected accounts
When you connect a platform you authorise Framelock to post there as you. You can disconnect at any time, which deletes the stored credential. Revoking access on the platform's own side works too, and Framelock will show the connection as needing reconnecting.
Availability
No uptime is promised. The service can change, and features can be removed โ including destinations, if a platform changes its API or its terms. Where a change is significant and you have an account, you get notice.
Liability
Framelock is provided as it is, without warranty. We are not liable for lost content, missed posts, a platform rejecting or removing what you published, or anything that follows from what you chose to post. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law โ including for intent and gross negligence.
Ending it
You can stop and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless saying so would itself cause harm.
Governing law
Swiss law applies, and disputes belong to the ordinary courts at the operator's domicile in Switzerland. If you use Framelock as a consumer, the mandatory protections of the law where you live still apply โ nothing here takes those away.
